Elliotte Friedman Reveals Possible Teams on Ex-Blackhawks Stars Trade Destination List
Alex DeBrincat's time with the Ottawa Senators is coming to an end as he becomes a restricted free agent.
He has submitted a list of preferred trade destinations, and Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reveals the teams he believes that are on that list...
The list includes the Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, and Vegas Golden Knights. Detroit is likely a choice due to DeBrincat's hometown ties.
"I think one of them is Detroit, he's from the area, I don't think that's going to surprise anyone, I think it's possible the two teams in the final could be on his list too." Friedman said.
The Senators may look to resolve this situation quickly, possibly through a trade at the NHL Entry Draft. DeBrincat's qualifying offer is $9 million, and with his trade request reportedly submitted, he may be shipped away before we knew it. If not, he could become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
