Former NHL player Bobby Ryan retired from the NHL last season. Is the past he has had some battles with alcoholism and unfortunately, Ryan had a relapse and was arrest in a Nashville airport for public intoxication.
Ryan was charged and released by Nashville police for public intoxication after being witnessed taking items from the International Airport store without paying for them. However Police decided to only charge the former NHL Star with public intoxication.
Today, Ryan took to social media to thank fans for the support he's received and claimed that he will do better for himself.
Unfortunately social media can be a very toxic place and it often brings out the absolute worst in people. After Bobby Ryan made his announcement, people made some disgusting comments towards Ryan.
Here's a look at some of the nasty comments Ryan has received.
However, the good comments definitely trumped the hate with many fans around the world expressing their love for Ryan wishing him well. We would also like to take a moment to wish Ryan well and hope he can win this battle and hopefully make a NHL return.
Like the song by hip-hop artist Rag'n Bone Man says I'm only human after all.
On behalf of Hawks Insider we wish you Bobby Ryan nothing but the best you can win this battle.
