Former Blackhawk Corey Perry quickly finds a brand new NHL team to sign with?
Ex-Chicago Blackhawk Corey Perry wasn't gone for long, and his NHL career might not be over just yet.
Having been put on unconditional waivers for the process of contract termination, it appeared that his career was over.
For the former Blackhawk who was released due to violation of workplace conduct, it may not be over so soon.
The real reason Perry was waived has been speculated upon by numerous people, but nothing has been proven to be true.
However, pests will never die.
And Perry is like a cockroach, he will survive the worst and thrive, as NHL Insider Frank Seravalli has said multiple teams in the past 24-48 hours have inquired about Corey Perry.
Seravalli on Real Kyper & Bourne: «I think there's actually been a couple of teams in the last 24-48 hrs that may be interested in adding a player like Corey Perry, so I think there's a lot left to be written here»
So in reality, Corey Perry's NHL career may be saved by someone else, not of the Blackhawks organization.
Perry's base salary excluding bonuses with the Blackhawks is $2 Million, so it's hard-telling how much he has lost as a result of the waiver.
