Former Blackhawk Signs One Year Deal in New York
Former Chicago Blackhawk Ryan Carpenter has signed a one year contract with the New York Rangers with a salary of $750,000, Carpenter spent 3 seasons in a Chicago jersey where he was not given a full-time role, the 31 year old forward may not be shown on the scoreboard each night but his face-off win percentage over his NHL career is a key to any team, a better percentage than Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid on the face-off dot.
Carpenter has been a fourth liner his entire career, it will be interesting to see if the Rangers can fit him into the lineup but if he is than Rangers fans will develop a loving for the forward as his main focus is defensive stability and putting his body on the line for his team.
