The Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild began their first round match-up Monday night in Dallas and this could be a very close series if game one had any indication.
The two sides would exchange goals in the first period then the Stars would take a 2-1 lead, but like the Los Angeles Kings did to the Edmonton Oilers earlier, the Wild tied the game up forcing overtime.
No one would score in the first overtime so for the first time in these playoffs we are going to double overtime. And in the second overtime former Chicago Blackhawk Ryan Hartman would be the hero giving the Wild a 3-2 win and a 1-0 series lead.
