Bob Murdoch had a successful career in the NHL, winning the Stanley Cup twice and earning accolades as a coach, including the Jack Adams Award.

Murdoch started his NHL journey with the Montreal Canadiens in 1970, where he won two Stanley Cups during his three-year stint.

A former Jack Adams Trophy winner has unfortunately passed away at the age of 76.

He then was traded to the Los Angeles Kings, where he played until 1979, and ended his career in 1982 with the Calgary Flames.

His best season was with the Kings in 1974-1975, where he was recognized for his two-way style of hockey and was named to the All-Star team.

After retiring as a player, Murdoch spent a decade coaching for various teams, including the Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Winnipeg Jets, and San Jose Sharks. He won the Jack Adams award in his first season coaching the Winnipeg Jets, after the team improved their points total by 21 from the previous season.
