Former Calgary Flame Reveals The REAL Reason Gaudreau Left Calgary..
To the leagues knowledge Johnny Gaudreau wanted out of Calgary due to family reasons with the arrival of his newborn coming into his life shortly, but many fans thought.. why Columbus? Well Elliot Friedman revealed that Gaudreau's first choice was to be heading to the Philadelphia Flyers once he hit free agency but that planned failed when Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher revealed that the team will not be making any more signings, quickly shutting down Gaudreau to Philadelphia rumors.
Former Calgary Flame and Carolina Hurricane Mike Commodore elaborated on why he believes Gaudreau wanted out of Calgary, but specially Canada in general.

This is very well thought info, vaccination restrictions are still very strict underneath Canada's prime minister Justin Trudeau, which lead to former Montreal Canadian Jeff Petry announcing a trade out of Canada also- he was traded to Pittsburgh.
Bladesofsteel.com brought up a good point in there piece on this topic as well, that the same reason due to vaccination policies could be the reason why J.T Miller wants out of Vancouver?
