Early on in his career, it appears that Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras is not garnering much support from players in the league, including retired ones. After watching several interviews with Zegras, it becomes evident why many people are not fond of him. He tends to be outspoken and performs moves that irritate defensemen.
The latest clash involving Zegras and other players involves former Blackhawks defenseman Brent Sopel. Sopel was renowned for his rough and tough playing style and his unwillingness to tolerate any nonsense. Recently, during The Raw Knuckles Podcast, Sopel expressed his thoughts and feelings towards Zegras.
"You have that guy in Anaheim (Zegras). I would gladly give him a two-hander to the teeth and enjoy every second of it," said Sopel.
Zegras caught wind of Sopel's remarks and responded in his unique manner.
"Always remember the five Ds of Dodgeball!!" exclaimed Zegras.
It would have been fascinating to witness Zegras play during Sopel's time with the Blackhawks, observing the verbal sparring and occasional dropping of gloves between the two players.
