Hawks demote former 1st round pick to the AHL
The Chicago Blackhawks have announced they have officially demoted forward Brett Connolly to the Rockford IceHogs
Connolly the former 6th overall pick in 2010 has only managed to get into 9 games this season for the Hawks. In those 9 games he only has 1 point and is a -3, while averaging less than 10 minutes if ice time per game.
Connolly recorded his only assist of the season Thursday against Columbus in the 7-4 loss.
