Drafted by the Blackhawks in the first round (No. 16 overall) of the 1974 Amateur Draft, Mulvey recorded 281 points (148 goals, 133 assists) in 574 career regular-season games and 15 points (10 goals, five assists) in 42 postseason contests. He spent nine of his 10 NHL seasons in Chicago and led the 1979-80 team in goals (39).
