Today, we are September sixth of 2022 and we are counting down the days by honoring Blackhawks players, ranked by their best jersey number! As today is the sixth, we will be honoring the Blackhawks best #6 of all-time. This career summary is brought to you by NBC Sports Chicago and their list of best Hawks of all-time ranked by their jersey numbers!
No. 6: Paul Thompson (LW, 1931-39)
A two-time Stanley Cup champion, Thompson was the Blackhawks' leading scorer for six straight seasons, including their 1934 and 1938 championship runs. He amassed 264 points (118 goals, 146 assists) in 365 career regular-season games across eight seasons and had 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in 24 postseason contests.
Unfortunately there is no footage of Thompson's time in the league, as he was in the 1930's!
