In a recent update on the injured Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin, insider Kevin Weekes shared positive news on social media.
According to Weekes' sources, all scans on Larkin have come back negative, providing optimism regarding the severity of his injury. However, Weekes noted that despite the encouraging results, there is still no specific timeline for Larkin's return to the team.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when Larkin was knocked unconscious by a blow to the back of the head from Ottawa Senators forward Mathieu Joseph.
While there were calls for disciplinary action against Joseph, particularly given the history between the two players, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has not indicated any forthcoming discipline for Joseph at this time.
