In Sunday's exhibition game, the Chicago Blackhawks lost 6-1 to the Detroit Red Wings.

Tonight, Bedard and the team return to the United Centre for yet another clash between the original six teams.

During the match, Bedard played center to Andreas Athanasiou and Taylor Raddysh, and got to show off his skill set. In the end, the team didn't succeed.

With 20:52 on the ice, he led the team with four shots and a PP2 assignment with Lukas Reichel.

Head coach Luke Richardson, however, wasn't exactly pleased with the team's defensive performance.

In their win over the St. Louis Blues, Bedard created offense, showed his ability to cut through defense, and posted two points.

Experiencing an original six rivalry in a road game would benefit Bedard, says Richardson. Richardson knows he just wants to play hockey and has no care where it is, as long as he's on the ice.

Richardson said it will might be useful to expose Bedard to the Blackhawks-Red Wings Original Six rivalry in a road contest.

"I think like I said before, he just wants to play hockey," Richardson said. "I don't think he really cares where it is. When he's on the ice, he's gonna's feel most comfortable."

But Bedard's veteran teammates, Ryan Donato and Taylor Hall, remained in Chicago. Tonight, they will not be competing against the Wings.
