In a recent statement, Luke Richardson, the head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks, revealed their plan for managing the goaltending duties for the upcoming season. The surprising twist in this strategy is that the injury-prone goalie appears to be taking on the starting role.

"We will probably try and spread it out so [Mrazek] doesn't get overworked and [Soderblom] gets lots of work... I could see us just flip-flopping at the beginning of the year, just to get them both rolling,"
Richardson explained.
This decision has raised eyebrows among fans and analysts, as relying on an injury-prone goalie as the starter comes with its own set of risks. It remains to be seen how this unique goaltending strategy will play out for the Blackhawks in the upcoming season.
