Jonathan Toews, longtime Chicago Blackhawks captain and teammate of Patrick Kane, recently gave his reaction to Kane being traded to the New York Rangers. Toews admitted that he was shocked by the news, even though the possibility had been looming for a while.

Toews went on to say that seeing Kane in a Rangers jersey was an odd sight, but he couldn't help but admit that it looked good on him. Despite the shock of Kane leaving the Blackhawks, Toews was happy to see his friend and lifelong teammate enjoying himself in New York.

Toews on Kane trade: "I was shocked. The possibility was there for a while, but I was like, 'Ah, it's not actually going to happen.'"

"When you see him in a Rangers jersey..it kinda looks good on him, to be honest. I hate to say that. I'm just happy to see him enjoying himself."

The bond between Toews and Kane has been a strong one throughout their careers, and it's clear that Toews has a lot of respect and admiration for his former teammate. While it may be tough to see Kane in a different jersey, Toews is no doubt looking forward to facing him on the ice and continuing their friendly rivalry.

For Blackhawks fans, it may be bittersweet to see Kane leave the team, but Toews' reaction shows that the bond between the two players goes beyond their time in Chicago. And while Kane may have moved on, his impact on the Blackhawks and their fans will not be forgotten.
