The name Kirby Dach has been trending over the last few days after he faced his former team, the Chicago Blackhawks, who traded him over the summer, where he then scored the game winning goal and taunted the Blackhawks crowd afterwards.
A bold move for someone who didn't meet average expectations in a Blackhawks jersey, but has performed greatly with his new teammates on a line with Cole Caulfield and Canadiens captain
Nick Suzuki.
It appears that Kirby Dach was not too pleased regarding not receiving a ''welcome back to Chicago'' video by the Blackhawks during the first TV timeout at the start of the game.
Dach was also boo'd during the game, and commented on that as well.. Pretty much a ''they deserved it'' and a big F you to Chicago moment.
"Anytime you get to come back to a place you used to play and get boo'd like that, it feels good to put on a show like that, it's pretty good."
"I did it back in junior when I got booed, so I thought it was fitting."
Dach also said he did not plan to do it, but it felt good to taunt the crowd.
«Anytime you get traded, it's a little upsetting. You have to upheave your whole life.»
«Montreal obviously really wanted me to be there. That's a blessing as a player, when you come somewhere you're wanted. Just trying to focus on Montreal.»
