Dominik Kubalik is most likely the first Chicago Blackhawk to be traded before the trade deadline. His sub par contribution this season, has slowly put him into trade conversations. Many teams around the league could use the left wing to help with their campaign. The Hawks record since Jan 1 hasn't been nearly good enough to be considered 'wild card' worthy.
According to reports out from Czech media and The Athletic's insider Eric Duhatschek, Dominik Kubalik is likely headed to Edmonton.
"In short, he'd be a perfect middle-of-the-lineup addition for any team needing a shot of goal scoring. He's been linked in the Czech media to Edmonton, a team desperately in search of depth up front. "
Kubalik will be RFA after this season and the 26 year old has registered 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points so far this season in 41 games.
In his first year with the Hawks, he had 30 goals and 16 assists in 68 games.
He has a $4million qualifying offer attached to him this offseason, which could cause some teams to flinch.
