Lifelong Tampa Bay Lightning Player Set to Test Free Agent Market
Not too long ago teams in the hot weather of Tampa Bay and Florida were not anything special, the teams failed to sell seating out for games which lead to the franchise taking a large hit financially. Well, the Lightning were first to 'strike'' with winning a Stanley cup in back to back years, nearly pulling it off for a third year in a row but the Colorado Avalanche snowed all over the Tampa heat!
Unfortunately with being such a successful franchise as of late, it creates lots of cap issues as players who won the Stanley Cup can easily get a pay grade elsewhere, leaving Tampa Bay with very to little cap space. One of those players being key playoff clutch performer Ondrei Palat who seems to be testing the free agent market which is opening up just around the corner.
Palat is currently 31 years of age and has came up huge in the dark while Tampas star players failed to shine, but will be testing the free agent market after spending his 10 NHL seasons with the Bolts.
