However not only did the Hunter family and the London Knights Organization support Logan so did the Montreal Canadiens Draft him last year with their first round pick even when Logan tried to pull himself out of the NHL draft.
Mailloux has since tried his best to improve not just on the ice but off it as well. Mailloux is in the Montreal Canadiens development camp in Brossard Quebec and looking to make the best of his second chance and show the Canadiens they made the right decision drafting him.
"It's tough every day, I think about it every day," Mailloux said following a practice session at his team's development camp in Brossard, Que., Tuesday afternoon. "It's something that I'm going to think about every day. I carry it with me and I know the victim carries it with her as well."
Logan Mailloux wore a Canadiens jersey for the first time on the ice this week since the Canadiens selected him in the first round 31st overall of the 2021 NHL Draft by former Canadiens General Manager Marc Bergevin. After serious criticizem made to the Montreal Canadiens franchise the Habs would decide it was best not to invite Mailloux to their rookie camp or training camp last year.
Mailloux would be suspended indefinitely from the Ontario Hockey League last season until the London Knights Owners Dale and Mark Hunter filed an appeal on Mailloux's behalf. Mailloux was then re-instated by the League in January 2022.
Unfortunately for Logan after putting up 9 points in his first 12 games but would fall awkwardly in a fight with Windsor Spitfires Pasquale Zito having season ending surgery. Mailloux is still recovering and did drills alone with a member of the Canadiens' training staff Monday, but won't take part in any of the full on-ice sessions at the camp.
