From now on, can we just say every game is Pat Foley Appreciation Night? Maybe then we'll start a wining streak. The Blackhawks are in Nashville for an early matinee game at Bridgestone Arena. Puck drops at 11:30am CST for the 4th and final match-up of the season. Kevin Lankinen will get the start with Cale Morris as back-up. Dach is out. Kubalik and Tyler Johnson are in. Gustafasson is in and de Haan is out. Kurashev, Borgrstrom, and Caleb Jones are scratched. Reichel will play in his 10th NHL game, burning the first year of his entry-level contract. So far, the Predators lead the series 2-1. Chicago won the first game in OT, 2-1, with Lankinen and Saros between the pipes. The two goal scorers for the Hawks were Hagel and DeBrincat. The second game also went to OT, with Fleury and Saros in net, but the Hawks lost 3-2. Goal scorers were Toews and Dach. And the third game was a regulation loss of 6-1, which saw Delia get pulled after the first period (3 goals on 7 shots) and replaced by Soderblom. Saros was in for Nashville. The lone goal scorer for the Hawks was Philipp Kurashev. Of the five men who scored against the Predators in those games, 2 of them are out, and 1 is on a completely different team. Here's hoping this game is early enough that they still have some of that Foley momentum left in their systems.
And just for fun - Chicago's Game 5 comeback win against Nashville from 4/24/10:
