Matthew Tkachuk.. where do we begin on this gritty forward? Tkachuk seems to be one of those players 31 NHL franchises and fan bases dislike, but the 32nd franchise who has Tkachuk on their team loves his style of play and his ability to get underneath everyones skin.

This off-season Matthew Tkachuk was involved in one of the biggest deals throughout the NHL in many years, where the Florida Panthers sent their captain, Jonathan Huberdeau, alongside many other pieces to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Matthew Tkachuk.

A early on analyzation points all fingers in the direction of the Panthers losing the deal, as they are 18th overall in the NHL standings, tied with teams like the Blackhawks and Montreal Canadiens, as well as the Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders and many others ahead of them on the leaderboards- as mentioned, it is early.

Tkachuk quickly went from the Battle of Alberta between the Flames and Oilers to the Battle of Florida between the Panthers and Lightning. Outside of the rivalries Tkachuk gotten himself into some hot water, and may receive a hefty fine or short-term suspension.

The play is quite hard to see, but this is the only clip from the game that has surfaced. Tkachuk purposely stuck his stick through Jonathan Quick's cage, which stirred the pot in Saturdays game against the LA Kings.

Hell even broke loose during the final seconds when Quick and Tkachuk started going at it, check it out below:
