The Montreal Canadiens are in a tough spot right now, they are under 70 days away until opening night of the regular season and are currently drowning in cap space, with only $248,334 thousand to spare after signing Kirby Dach to a new deal and also several other players needing qualifying offers OR they will be set to be acquired at no cost by any other team.

The Canadiens have a few players who are underperforming a whole-ton with there current salary earnings, one being Christian Dvorak who centred the Canadiens top line in there most previous season, from a simple look at his in-depth statistics, they are truly underwhelming for a $4.5 million dollar player.

Elliot Friedman has reported that Dvorak has gained interest from multiple teams in the western conference, as well as the Minnesota Wild being a great fit for the 26-year old center, before he was dealt to the Canadiens the Wild tried to acquire him but couldn't at the time due to salary cap space issues.

Friedman also reports he will be very surprised if Dvorak is on the Canadiens opening night roster and is NOT traded before than, Friedman said in his 32 thoughts article column that the Canadiens are trying to push heavily to move his contract to create space, and that it could be just days away from his time in Montreal being over.

The 26 year old center played top line minutes when healthy last season and put up a career worst goal total, shots and also his worst plus/minus ever. A change of scenery is coming..
