The Winnipeg Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff is known to be a very savvy GM knowing when to make the right decisions.
However, Cheveldayoff might of shot himself in the foot. The Winnipeg Jets have been testing the waters to see if they could move their captain Blake Wheeler.
The problem is the 35 year old Minnesota native has two years left on his current deal that has a massive $8.25 million dollar salary.
According to Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Frank Seravalli some teams have shown interest in making a deal, but asked said salary retainion would have to be involved. Jets Gm Kevin Cheveldayoff has said "No."
Wheeler has some say in this also with a five team no trade list, all though those teams were not disclosed.
