NHL Defenseman Arrested and Fined $40,000 Swedish Dollars

New York Islanders Defenseman made a big mistake Wednesday, that got himself in hot water. Aho was arrested in his home country of Sweden for driving under the influence.
Aho had his driver's license suspended as a result, The Post confirmed. The incident, which was first reported by the Swedish outlet Norran, occurred at 10:30 a.m. local time on Aug. 13. Aho and his wife had visited friends the night before. He blew a .03, which would be under the legal limit of .08 in the U.S. but is over the .02 limit in Sweden.
According to AftonBladet, Aho was fined 40,000 Swedish Krona, which is equivalent to $3,769.

«He had no idea he would still be over the limit by the next morning and felt 100%, but unfortunately he made a mistake and he is very sorry!» Aho's agent, Claude Lemieux, told The Post via text.
Aho would release a statement on Social Media After being released saying:
«I deeply regret and learn from this mistake and will definitely never drive again the next day,»
