This injury was nasty, so it is no surprise that Evander Kane is expected to miss at least a couple of months.
Well, with that injury, it seems likely that the Oilers are going to look for a replacement sooner rather than later as the deadline approaches.
A player that has been in reports linked the the style of player the Oilers would want is Blackhawks' forward, Max Domi.
One reason that the House of Hockey and insider, Kevin Weekes, lists Domi as a candidate is his aggressiveness as a forward. Evander Kane was the aggressive one of the bunch in Edmonton, and now they are seriously lacking toughness with Kane away from the team.
As us Blackhawks fans know, Max Domi is one tough sucker, and he truly enjoys looking for his next hit or fight.
Weekes had this to say regarding Domi's situation in Chicago:
"Well here's the thing, he has impressed them, it's been a nice fit for them in Chicago so far, There's some thought that either he's going to do an extension, or to your point, a contending team, a buyer, may want his services. Perhaps Edmonton."
Domi is a solid player who can deliver a nasty wrister, crazy pass, or devastating hit at any given moment.
