NHL Team Makes History For Most Tickets Sold in 3 Hours - It's Insane
What is better than a NHL game being played in a sold-out outdoor NFL stadium? Nearly nothing, fans look forward to the outdoor games each year and hope their team gets the chance to play outdoors which only a select few teams each year get the opportunity to do so.
The Carolina Hurricanes are next up on the clock this year for a outdoor game, facing off against the Washington Capitals this February which will make for a amazing matchup.
The Hurricanes were given nearly 19,000 seats by the NHL, and they were all sold out within 3 hours of the sale opening. The Hurricanes had to contact the NHL to see if another 10,000 tickets could possibly up the ticket total to 30,000, which is the most tickets sold to any season-ticket base of any franchise EVER, for an outdoor game.
