NHL organizations have been rapidly making their cuts over the past 24 hours as they prepare their rosters to fit under the salary cap. Many players, including those with PTO contracts, have been cut and are now available for other teams to choose if they want.
This list includes more prominent names such as Kyle Clifford, Zach Bogosian, Martin Jones, Malcolm Subban, and Joel Armia. During these cuts, the Chicago Blackhawks only managed to put one name on the list, which happens to be Joey Anderson, the former Toronto Maple Leafs player who came over via trade.
The Blackhawks remain at the bottom of the NHL when it comes to contracts and salary caps. They currently have $13.7 million in cap space and 22 players out of 23. It's certainly possible that General Manager Kyle Davidson will look at this list to see if there are any other players he could add, as he has sufficient room to improve his team.
