Trevor Zegras has changed the game when it's come to the things NHL players can do with the puck. Yes, we've seen "The Michigan" in the NHL before and, yes, Canes fans tried to change the name of the goal to "The Svech" luckily it didn't catch on. But with Zegras doing amazing things like "The Lacrosse Pass" it has caused the league to sit down and evaluate the way the league allows players to move the puck.

Tonight on NHL Insider Trading, TSN Insider Darren Dreger shared the following information:

"The league has discussed the possibility of a player like Zegras carrying the puck on his stick, I think they mean carrying the puck through the neutral zone and into the offensive zone, not just when they're near or behind the net. It's just a matter of time before we see it and there's nothing the league can do as along as it's beneath your shoulders, it's still mid-air, nothing illegal about it. How do you defend against it?"

It would appear with the evolution of the game the league is looking at all the ways that players could possibly use the new techniques that players are currently practicing everyday.

What are your thoughts? Should the NHL limit how players can move the puck or should they simply allow players to become more and more creative?
