Last night the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks faced off in quite the eventful game which lead to a 6-5 win for the Canucks in San Jose.

The Canucks blew three consecutive leads but pulled through at the end.

During the first period two tough customers decided to drop the gloves, Dakota Joshua of the Vancouver Canucks responded to Radim Simek of the Sharks after he threw a questionable hit on his teammate.

Joshua has tallied up 37 penalty minutes throughout 20 games this season and has been trending for a couple good spirited tilts, Simek on the other hand nearly has as many penalty minutes as he does points throughout the NHL, this was going to be a great fight..

Until... the referees stepped in before a punch was even thrown, which is a common annoyance with today's game of hockey.

Joshua clearly showed his frustration, but by the looks of things the league officials continue to make the game of hockey softer and softer.
