Earlier Friday morning Flyers Insider broke the news that many Flyers fans were hoping for, and that Flyers General Manager Chuck Fletcher was relieved of his duties.

Although we never like to see anyone lose their occupation, it was definitely time for a change in Philadelphia and the fans let ownership know it earlier this week at the Flyers Season Ticket holders Conference booing the sh#t outta Fletcher.

Now the search begins for Fletcher's replacement. Sportsnet Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman would reveal two former Flyers have been considered they are Crhis Pronger and Eric Lindros.

However Friedman would also reveal former Chicago Blackhawk Eddie Olczyk is also being considered for the spot as the Flyers new Gm.

Before doing play by play for Blackhawks games, Olczyk played 16 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He won the Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1994. Olczyk was also the head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins from June 2003 to December 2005.
