Former NHL Head Coach Joel Qunneville is looking to return to the NHL. The 64 year old was one of the best Coaches in the League until he was forced to resign from his position as the Florida Panthers Head Coach.
The decision came after the Kyle Beach scandal, where i am sure we are all aware about the sad situation.
After an ndependent investigation, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman would end up giving most of all involved the choice of resignation or termination including Joel Qunneville.
Now for Qunneville to return he's going to have to get approved by Bettman. The NHL Commissioner was asked about the possibility of Qunneville returning to the NHL this is what he had to say:
"There's nothing currently happening with Joel Quenneville, Bettman said at the time. «And if and when there's a real conversation to be had, then I'll focus on it at the time. I assume it'd be initiated by Joel, if and when he thinks it's the appropriate time and he feels that he's ready to come back and there's an opportunity. But again, I'll have to make an evaluation at that time.
- NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman
Quenneville will need to to show Bettman that he's changed his ways and would never make the same mistake again instead protect his players at all cost even over a Stanley Cup.
