REPORT: SEASON ENDING INJURY REQUIRING SURGERY FOR ONE OF THE CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS TOP FORWARD PROSPECTS
Chicago Blackhawks prospect Ryder Rolston was hit with unfortunate news, as he will have to undergo surgery after breaking his collarbone and will miss the rest of the season because of it according to John Fineran of the South Bend Tribune.
Rolston suffered the injury after taking a hit to the head from Wisconsin defenseman Luke LaMaster during the first period of their game on Saturday. he currently leads Notre Dame in points with 20 and assists with 13 in 27 games played this year.
Back in April 2021, the Blackhawks acquired the rights to Rolston in a trade with Colorado for forward Carl Soderberg. He has yet to sign a contract with the Blackhawks. He turns 22 this year and makes you wonder when he will end up signing his first contract with the Blackhawks if he ever does.
