San Jose Sharks Set to Make Questionable Selection at 4th Overall
As the NHL Entry Draft nears on June 28th, the Chicago Blackhawks and more teams including the San Jose Sharks who have the fourth overall pick, are scrambling to choose the right player to enhance their chances of success.
It appears the Sharks are strongly considering 18-year-old Will Smith from the USNTDP. Smith has an impressive record of 66 goals and 169 points in 80 games, and he performed exceptionally well in the U18-WJC with 20 points in 7 games.
Although the top three picks seem solid, the projected 2nd overall pick Matvei Michkov appears to be falling back spots as he is still under contract in the KHL for many years.
