Should Pierre Dorion lose his job for the Alex DeBrincat trade?
Pierre Dorion's career in Ottawa has been rejuvenated after successfully completing the first half of his team rebuild.
He has acquired a lot of talented players, and while the team may not be the best currently, it is expected to contend in a few years.
That's significant because Dorion should probably lose his job for that trade
Unfortunately, one of Dorion's worst trades was for Alex DeBrincat, who has expressed interest in leaving if he is not traded to one of his preferred locations.
As a result of the trade, the team missed out on selecting top prospect Kevin Korchinski, as the 7th pick was sent to Chicago.
This situation has put the Senators in a tough spot, potentially losing a consistent goal-scorer without any opportunity to save the contract.
It remains to be seen if this will impact Dorion's future in Ottawa once new ownership takes over.
