Should the Chicago Blackhawks change their goal song?
The Chicago Blackhawks are an original six franchise, and much like the fanbase, tradition is important here.
A catchy song with the Chicago Blackhawks fingerprints all over it, "Chelsea Dagger" has become the celebration song of many teams in sports since the team changed their goal song to it in 2008.
It is important for the team to move forward from the past, as the rebuild is taking place.
The Chicago Blackhawks, with Connor Bedard, Lukas Reichel, and Philip Kurashev as their faces, should consider moving on from the song entirely, since they have done away with the scandalous history associated with past players and coaches.
As new leadership positions have been filled, and the dynasty has passed, a face-lift is needed to keep the team fresh in the front office and on the ice.
Let's keep the momentum going with a new goal song, since Chicago has so many great acts to choose from including The Smashing Pumpkins, Fallout Boy, Wilco and Earth, Wind and Fire.
