The Chicago Blackhawks have been trying to make the best of a bad situation. Currently sitting in the basement on the NHL leaderboards, the Blackhawks want to just do their best to play hard win or lose.
One thing the Chicago Blackhawks love to do in practices as well as pre game warmups is a shootout competition. They were in the middle of that before the game in St Louis, but the Blackhawks decided not to leave the ice when the horn went like usual.
According to Chicago Blackhawks Insider Ben Pope:
The Blackhawks just got basically kicked off the ice for staying out too long for warmups. The horn went, Kane & Co. kept doing their shootout competition, so Enterprise Center re-sounded the horn for a good 15-20 seconds until they skedaddled.
