The Montreal Canadians have made a big decision with their roster for the foreseeable future. Goaltender Jake Allen signed a two-year extension worth $3.85 million AAV.
The 32 year old has appeared in 353 NHL games over his 9 year NHL career. Allen has played for the St. Louis Blues and Montreal Canadians, winning a Stanley Cup with St. Louis. Allen has 168 career wins under his belt as he hopes to continue his success with Montreal.
The extension for Jake Allen solidifies the goal crease for the foreseeable future. The uncertainty surrounding Carey Price forced the Canadians hand, but having Jake Allen around for at least the next two years is not a bad consolation prize.
