Kirill Kaprizov was nailed in the face/upper body with a slap shot from Frederik Gaudreau. Frederik Gaudreau is a member of the Minnesota Wild, and is Johnny Gaudreau's brother, who signed with the Columbus Blue jackets this offseason.
Kirill Kaprizov is one of the most fastest rising stars in the NHL. He is one of the best young players as well, and he's locked in long term with the Wild. He is 25 years old and is from Russia. He had a phenomenal season, scoring 47 goals and having 61 assists, having 108 points on the season.
There is no date for his return, but the Wild GM Bill Guerin said that they look to take the right steps, and he won't play in the next home game. Minnesota's next home game is October 6th against the Chicago Blackhawks.
