The Chicago Blackhawks' Alex DeBrincat Trade Just Got Juicier

Top Blackhawks prospect has received the highest WHL defensive award possible for his division.

Kevin Korchinski, defenseman for the Seattle Thunderbirds, has received the award for the best WHL defenseman of the U.S. division, and is a nominee for the best WHL defenseman of the year, which is the Bill Hunter Memorial Trophy.
Korchinski was the 7th overall pick by Chicago, and was Kyle Davidson's first pick as the new Hawks General Manager, the 7th overall pick was received in exchange for Alex DeBrincat. He's only 18 years old, but will most likely be getting a shot at the big league's soon, considering he is already better than half of the defenseman on the current roster. Kevin had 11 goals and 62 assists, adding up to 72 points in 54 games on the season with Seattle.
