The Chicago Blackhawks have a goal and that's to ice the best team possible as rebuilds take time, and they have made one move towards this.

They have announced two moves today as Kyle Davidson made a major signing today.

The Blackhawks have signed goalie-prospect Drew Commesso to an entry-level contract today. The deal will begin in 2023-2024, Commesso was a 2nd-round pick in the 2020 draft, 46th overall.

Commesso had an impressive college career 43-22-4 overall, 2.57 GAA, and a .914 save percentage, with three shutouts. He is likely to be the Hawk's goalie of the future and fits the Hawk's current timeline well, spending the next few years in the minors.

Commesso appeared in 2 Olympic games, in 2022 with 2 wins and a 1.00 GAA, and a .964 save percentage.

In other news, the Chicago Blackhawks have made some moves before the Minnesota Wild game.

They have sent prospects Lukas Reichel and Alex Vlasic down to AHL Rockford while calling up Buddy Robinson. Both prospects are being sent down to help with the Rockford IceHogs playoff push.

Reichel has been a revelation for the Blackhawks at the NHL level, putting up 6 goals and 6 assists in 19 games since being called up on the 2nd.

Vlasic was also a contributor being put on the top-pairing with Seth Jones averaging over 19 minutes of ice time.
