After the second period last night against the New York Rangers, Petr Mrázek stayed in the locker room with Arvid Söderblom taking his place in the third. Söderblom held down the lead, allowing one goal on six shots.
Following their first win after losing eight straight games, the Blackhawks announced this morning that goaltender Jaxson Stauber has been called up from Rockford.
Stauber has yet to make his NHL debut, but he's played six games with the IceHogs so far.
He has a 3-2-0 record with a .892 save percentage. He recently returned from an undisclosed injury, which is why Dylan Wells was called up in early Nov. when both Mrázek and Alex Stalock were injured. Söderblom will likely start in net tonight against The New York Islanders, but if Stalock doesn't return in the coming weeks, then Stauber will get to make his debut.
