The NHL Officially Hires Nickelback prior to the Heritage Classic
The NHL Heritage Classic will be held at Common Wealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta. A Battle of Alberta will be played between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers.
It was announced that Nickelback would be playing, but no confirmation was given as to when they would be playing.
Nickelback + Battle of Alberta Heritage Classic game = most Canadian hockey game EVER.
In what will be an exciting hockey game outdoors, they will be hired on by the NHL as the second intermission act.
It's amazing how the Canadian Rock Group continues to enjoy a massive fan base despite being hated worldwide.
The Battle of Alberta will take place at the home stadium of the Edmonton Elks of the CFL. 57,167 fans attended the first Heritage Classic, held at the same venue in 2003 when the Oilers faced the Montreal Canadiens, marking the 20th anniversary of the event.
