The Blackhawks defensive prospect pool is very deep. Kevin Korchinski, Wyatt Kaiser, Alex Vlassic, Nolan Allan, Isaak Phillips, and Sam Rinzel even. But there's one guy who stands out from the bunch.
Ethan Del Mastro is a 20 year old defensive defenseman. Del Mastro had 21 points in 22 games on the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL. Then he was traded to the Sarnia Sting and had 38 points in 30 games there with a +/- of 12. And in the World Junior Championships, he had 3 points in 7 games with the +3.
One defenseman Del Mastro reminds many of is Brent Seabrook, except faster.

Del Mastro has potential to be a top 4 pairing, and there are a lot of things to be excited for when it comes to his game.
