Toews Makes Heartwarming Comments to Former Teammates for His Ceremony
Tonight at the united Center, all eyes were on 33 year old Jonathan Toews for surpassing 1,000 NHL games- this time he was at home to celebrate.
It all started with a beautiful ceremony that was put together by the Chicago Blackhawks and their media team:
And later on, former & current teammates made a appearance on ice as well as sending video messages to the Blackhawks captain. Duncan Keith, Dustin Byfuglien, Corey Crawford, Brent Seabrook, Andrew Shaw, Patrick Sharp among ex-teammates who recorded tributes to Jonathan Toews shown on the video ceremony board.
Toews felt sheepish about all the recognition he was receiving, and credited it so other teammates from the past:
"It has been a special ride and I'm just so thankful to be able to have shared it with guys like that.»
