Tom Wilson is on his way out of Washington
There are reports circulating that Tom Wilson may be leaving the Washington Capitals, much to the disappointment of Alex Ovechkin. According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Capitals are looking to retool and Wilson may be one of the casualties. Several teams, including the LA Kings, are reportedly interested in acquiring the skilled power forward.
If Kyle Davidson decides to make an offer for Wilson, it could prove to be a wise move.
I mentioned the other day there are teams curious about Tom Wilsons future in Washington. Well, the #GoKingsGo are one of those teams.
Way too early to determine whether or not the #AllCaps would even consider moving him, but if they do, they'll have options.
Not only would Wilson be a strong candidate for a 1st line position, but he could also serve as a mentor and protector for Connor Bedard.
Additionally, Wilson is known for his ability to agitate opponents and contribute to power-play situations.
Despite his reputation as a controversial figure in the sport of hockey, any team would benefit from having Wilson on their roster.
Though he struggled with injuries this past season, he still managed to put up 52 points in the 2021-2022 season.
