Tyler Johnson next on the trade block?
The Tampa Bay Lightning traded depth forward Tyler Johnson and a 2nd round draft pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Brent Seabrook's contract.
After the trade was completed, Johnson appears to have found a new place on the current Chicago Blackhawks team, a team of misfits.
However, it seems unlikely that Johnson will be a part of the team's long-term plans, despite his past success as a Stanley Cup champion.
During the 2022-2023 season, Johnson played in 56 games and scored 12 goals with 32 points.
Depending on how the Blackhawks choose to proceed with the trade, Johnson could be a valuable middle-six player for another team.
For now, it seems unlikely Johnson will be moved while Davidson continues to listen in on trades.
