Blackhawks fans get honest about Patrick Kane returning to Chicago
We're on the cusp of free agency, as the last few months of the season yield a wealth of UFAs available to teams in the NHL.
One of them is Patrick Kane who recently completed his first season, with another original six squad off his bucket list, with the Detroit Red Wings.
Kane has been a revelation for the team, putting up 47 points(20 G, 27 A) in 50 games this season.
Mark Lazerus of The Athletic, who covers the Blackhawks ran a poll on Twitter, to see what fans think about bringing someone like Patrick Kane back into the fold, should the chance arise.
It looks like 70.7% answered yes, a majority of Blackhawks fans want Kane to return to the team.
Kane returned to fanfare in the United Center with the Red Wings this season and buried the OT winner sealing the deal, 3-2 over Connor Bedard the Blackhawks.
His return to the United Center was a positive affair, but could Showtime make it back to the Windy City during the 2024-2025 season?
It's difficult to tell, given the team's goals and Patrick Kane's cup-hunting at this point. But it is nice to think about!
