"We heard just a couple of days ago that there could be some possible interest between the Chicago Blackhawks and pending free agent Anders Lee of the New York Islanders. The Islanders captain hasn't been able to get anything done with the Islanders so he's looking to the open market. Well that interest is confirmed. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reports that the Blackhawks have talked contract with Lee. Pagnotta adds that while the Islanders are still in discussions with Lee, along with the Blackhawks, the Avalanche and Wild have also reached out. The 28 year old scored 34 goals in 2016-17, 40 goals in 2017-18 and registered 28 goals last year. With Pavelski out of the picture, Lee could be a good long term solution for Jonathan Toews' left wing. Should the Hawks' get into a bidding war for Anders Lee?
Among the teams that reached out to Anders Lee, sounds like the Islanders, Blackhawks, Wild and Avs are in the hunt. — David Pagnotta (@TheFourthPeriod) June 27, 2019
