Blackhawks reporter goes after Artemi Panarin in online statement
The Carolina Hurricanes may have found a way to extend their series against a sloppy New York Rangers last night, winning 4-3.
The Rangers were disappointing last night and it led to The Athletics Mark Lazerus calling out former Blackhawks winger, Artemi Panarin on Twitter aka X.com.
Panarin was one of the only Rangers unable to get on the scoreboard, while Will Cuylle, Barclay Goodrow, and Alexis Lafreniere, were the only Rangers players to give the team an edge that night.
Panarin was also called out as sloppy and unproductive, while being held to only one shot on goal during the entire game and had a terrible plus/minus of -3 on the ice that night.
While not primarily a defensive forward, maybe he should figure out the Auston Matthews method of discovering his two-way game.
Linemate Vinnie Troecheck also proved incapable of being significant, with a plus-minus of -2, 2 PIMS, and 2 shots on goal.
The Rangers have to hold on to win the series, in what seemed to be a legitimate sweep, have now let the Hurricanes gain footing.
Artemi Panarin needs the kind of play from May 9th, a 2-point game to make sure the team has any kind of shot at moving onto the next round in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
