"The NHL will be switching it up this year with no NHL Awards. Instead the league will be announcing award winners throughout the playoffs kind of like the NBA and MLB. It looks like Corey Crawford isn't the only Blackhawk nominated for an award. While Crawford could take home the Bill Masterton Trophy, Hawks' rookie Dominik Kubalik has been nominated for the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year. It's no surprise as the 24 year old registered 30 goals in 68 games and was easily one of the Hawks' best forwards so far this season. He'll go up against Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks and Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche. It would be awesome to see Kubalik take home the hardware.
